Sort-of the Indie Travel Podcast newsletter

Hi everyone,

Linda and I are on the road at the moment — the Camino de Santiago de Compostela in fact. It’s a midiaeval pilgrimage to the Spainish city of Santiago de Compostela. We’re walking about 750km from Pamplona to the end. We might make it a few kilometer’s further and get to Finisterra too — that’s the end of the world, don’t you know!

Because we’ve been walking (and only carrying 10% of our body weight) the laptop has been left behind. However the real problem with podcasting this month was the late arrival of our new field microphone. We planned on documenting the trip as well as passing on advice for packing to walk, dealing with blisters and all sorts of things. Hopefully the mic will catch up with us in a Lista de Correos somewhere along the way and we can get back to podcasting again! Thanks for waiting for it with us.

If you really need a Craig and Linda fix, we’re trying to blog at mars-hill.co.nz/blog and get photos onto our flickr stream at flickr.com/photos/mars-hill. Unfortunately internet access seems to be primitive — fast enough but no USB connections anywhere. Most of the computers we’ve used so far do have floppy disk drives though.

Until next…month? travel well!
Craig and Linda
